What is Reiki?

Reiki is a safe, gentle, loving, non-invasive, easy to learn, hands-on energy healing technique.  It promotes relaxation and helps to reduce stress and anxiety, encouraging your body to heal.  Reiki can be used for personal self-healing and can be shared with others.

Reiki, a Japanese word meaning Rei “Universal or God’s Wisdom” and ki “life energy,” was rediscovered by Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s.  Now Reiki is being practiced throughout the world, in hospitals and hospices, to complement other medical or therapeutic treatments. 

Reiki helps people become energetically balanced on all levels – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

As you relax (fully clothed) on the massage table during your session, Sharon will tone (gently sing to your chakras) using intuition and the Sacred Vowel System.  This system, created by Jonathan Goldman, can help clear and balance your chakras and energetic system and supports Reiki in a profound way.

What is Toning?

Toning is a way of using sound, our natural voice, to help create balance and harmony in our energy.  Using simple sounds, such as ahhh, oooo, eeee, uhhh, can stimulate the brain to release endorphins that help the body relax, acting as a natural sedative.  In this state of calm, our bodies are more open to heal and manage pain. 

Toning and Reiki support each other beautifully.  The sound of the voice works at the physical level to activate atoms and molecules to alter their state of vibration. At the same time, Reiki is working at other levels.

Sharon Roache has 25 years of experience as a holistic practitioner.  In addition to being a facilitator for the Emotion Code, she is a certified Reiki Master-Instructor and IET Master-Instructor, with certification in Pointed Touch and Advanced Healing.  She also practices Sound Healing and offers Visioning Playshop sessions.
