on the pristine island of Bimini, Bahamas

August 2-8, 2026
Limited to 20

This is my 9th time taking a group of people to Bimini to swim with the dolphins in the wild!  I love it, and so do my clients, so we keep going back!  This trip is limited to 20 people.  If you are interested, ask me for a Registration form.  But don’t wait too long, as it will fill up quickly.  If so, you can always ask to be on the Wait List.

Since the beginning of recorded time, the world over, stories of human-dolphin encounters arouse wonderment and a sense of profound connection. Lucky witnesses are often left delighted, even euphoric, and many have reported inexplicable healings. Few are left unchanged.

When dolphins interact in their own natural environment, they seem to revel in obvious joy. Jumping, splashing, twirling, flipping and diving. Dolphins emit a high-frequency sonar through the water, which sounds like clicks + whistles.

When you swim with them, is like they “sonar scan” you, which many people report has a positive therapeutic effect–physically, physiologically and spiritually! That is why so many of us keep going back! BTW, that is me in the photo, the first time I was with the dolphins! It was an incredible thrill!

Wild Dolphin Swim Retreat Itinerary:

Sunday, August 2

Depart from your home city on the earliest flight possible to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Get a taxi for the 7 minute drive. We will overnight at the Hilton Ft Lauderdale Marina hotel. Relax at the pool until it’s time for us to enjoy dinner together. Meal at your expense.

Monday, August 3

L, D

After an early breakfast, we will be picked up and transferred to a private airport for our 9am charter flight to Bimini.  It’s just 25 minutes in the air! Upon arrival we will take the water taxi (so cool!) to our lodging in the small fishing village of Porgey Bay.

Get settled into your comfortable modern room, complete with AC, private bathroom, towels, a small fridge, hair dryer and electrical outlets the same as in the USA. There are a few single rooms available, as well as ocean views. First come, first served!

Next we will pack our lunches and go out on the beautiful catamaran for our first adventure with the dolphins. As always, excursions are weather permitting, and since the dolphins are “in the wild” there are no guarantees we will see them everyday.

Traditionally, 4 days out of 5, the dolphins find us and are willing + able to play! No touching allowed, but you will be AMAZED how close they come! They are as curious about us, as we are about them! We are all on a high afterwards! It is a sacred experience!

Encounters can be as short as 15 minutes or even an hour! And we usually have multiple encounters in one day. When we hear the magic words “GEAR UP”, we scramble to put on our masks, snorkels and fins as quickly as possible.

If you don’t bring your own snorkel gear, it is available for rent. Practice snorkeling at home if you can. Staff will assist newbies and there are flotation devices on the boat if you are not a strong swimmer.

We will be back to our lodging around 6-7pm, have dinner, and then perhaps you’ll want to go for a stroll or we will do something as a group. Get a good rest for tomorrow :)) There is fun to be had!!

Tuesday-Friday, August 4-7

B, L, D

After breakfast, a gentle morning yoga class will be offered by my amazing and wonderful friend, Maria Starr. She will also offer optional meditation and energy sessions for us throughout the week. You may also go to the beach and practice snorkeling. The water is exquisite! I call it swimming in “silky turquoise!”

For your enjoyment, kayaks and bicycles are also available – in addition to massage sessions ($120/hr) in the morning and evening.

If you are interested in exploring the island a little bit, rental of golf carts can be arranged. From one end of the island to the other is only 3 miles, so there is time to see everything. Sometimes we go up to the infinity pool at the Hilton and enjoy the view as we swim around

The Straw Market is a great place to shop for summer dresses, colorful wraps, sunhats and little souvenirs for your family.

Try to visit the Dolphin House, an incredible creation by islander Ashley Saunders.  Broken shells, bottles, tiles, old coins and license plates adorn every surface of this magnificent home.

There is also a small museum in Alice Town, with old photographs of Ernest Hemingway who enjoyed writing and fishing on Bimini. Some movies were filmed there too. Remember Cocoon?!

Everyday we pack a big salad / sandwich for lunch on the boat and come back to a hot dinner. We depart at 11:30am and return around 6-7pm. Meals are healthy and often organic. We can accommodate your dietary preferences, so no worries about that. Alcohol is BYOB.

No trip to Bimini would be complete without snorkeling over mysterious Bimini Road! A quarter-mile off Paradise Point lays an ancient, underwater road of stones that has baffled natives, mystics and scientists for generations.

Some call it the Bimini Road and believe it was part of the lost continent of Atlantis. It is quite a mystical experience, and many say they can feel the energy that emanates from these huge underwater stones.

On Wednesday night, we will take in some local flavor by having dinner at the Big Game Club, a favorite hang out, with great island music that inspires everyone to get up and dance. Bring cash; about $55-65 will ensure a great meal and drinks.

As we bring to a close a wonderful week of fun, sun and sharing time with new flippered friends, human and dolphin, you’ll leave Bimini feeling refreshed and restored on all levels.

And all you have to bring is 2 bathing suits, a couple of shorts and t-shirts! Simplicity!! AHHHH!

Saturday, August 8

After breakfast, we leave for Bimini airport for our flight back to the private Executive airport in Ft Lauderdale, with a bus shuttle arranged to take us to the main Ft Lauderdale airport. Connecting flights home should be at 1:30pm or later.

New and lasting friendships have been made and you will find the dolphin energy remains with you forever. They truly are the Angels of the Sea!

TESTIMONIALS

I just would like to thank you all for the GREAT time we had in Bimini. This was one of the most enjoyable trips I have ever been on. Being around the dolphins was magical. They are amazing! It was so exciting to be able to experience this. I think we were an exceptional group! Thank you for the connections we all had, the laughs and great adventures. We have all been touched by the “Right Hand of God” now! Hopefully we will all meet again. Susan, thank you for all of the planning and coordinating of such an incredible trip. You do a great job! — Stephanie, Chesterbrook PA

When I booked this trip, it was because I was trying to heal after a very hard period in my life. I had searched online to find a dolphin retreat, and luckily, found this one. I have always loved dolphins, turquoise waters, and this seemed perfect.

Little did I know what I was in for! Bimini is an amazing and magical place. The locals are friendly and gentle, the water is beautiful, and there is so much to do there. The dolphins are gentle, kind animals that graced us with their presence time after time. I spent as much time as possible in the water with them, and it was never enough.

The staff on this trip became like family. They were pleasant and personable. Not at all like a commercial trip. And the added bonus? The people in our group were an amazing bunch. I have learned so much-about Bimini, the dolphins, and a wide variety of things from my fellow group members. My only regret is that our magical trip passed by so quickly. I highly recommend this dolphin retreat, and would like to repeat this journey again soon! — Laurence, Montreal CA

Swimming with wild dolphins is an incredible experience. A true lesson in joy. Sharing this experience in community with like-minded travelers intensifies it. Even though I’d done 6 other dolphin trips, I learned more from this trip than I’d learned in all my reading and from other tour guides. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for dolphins and such a high respect for their mission of relating to us, as we were their guests in the ocean. It touched me. Thank you. — Beth, Arizona

What an incredible experience! Floating in the clear, warm waters of Bimini surrounded by a pod of 25 wild dolphins is pure joy. Excellent meals shared with like-minded travelers and guided adventures and trips exploring the island enhanced this experience. I guarantee you; there isn’t anything else like this trip! A great trip brings joy to everyone as witnessed by our spontaneous singing throughout the week. That was just dolphin energy influencing us, don’t you think?

Also, I appreciated the feeling of being cared for in a safe environment (on the boat, in the water, driving the golf carts, water taxi, all of it felt like just enough of an adventure but it was such a supportive tour) Thank you for that. What a responsibility. You were there for everyone.  Thanks Susan. — Beth, Albuquerque NM

Thank you again for facilitating such a wonderful experience and trip.  I absolutely loved it and being on the water everyday and not connected to the outside world was a blessing beyond imagination.

I still feel downloads from this trip and am sleeping so much and so deep, it is wonderful. — Yvonne, Tulsa OK

Hello to you all, It was great to have a few days to wind down on the island and revisit some of the spots and people we had met earlier in the week.

We stopped and visited with Thomas and he told us about his life on the island. Later we met a woman who said she was born and raised on Bimini. It was such a special trip and everyone was such a delight. You all made it extra special. We have all been touched and blessed by the dolphins. Blessings to you all, —  SuEllen

Thanks to everyone for bringing your energetic selves to our outings. Hard to get back to the old routine, so I’m gonna stay on island time when I can! — Marcy

You all were such a joy to be with in Bimini and I can’t thank you enough for making this a very special trip above and beyond the joy of being with the dolphins! I really felt the thin veil between the worlds in Bimini and it has taken me some time to adjust back in to my “regular” life. — Lynn

We were an incredible special gathering of amazing and supportive folks experiencing, what was for me, a once in a lifetime Bucket List event to be swimming with Dolphins in the wild, together.  Hugs to all! — C. F., Downington
